Local Priorities Catapults Update

Local Priorities Catapults Update

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Catapults, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Two Youths were seen acting suspiciously near woodland and upon seeing officers made off on foot. They were swiftly detained by officers from the Neighbourhood Task Force.

They were found in possession of a Catapult and bolts. These items were seized as they were believed to be intended for use in injuring animals.

We will continue to respond proactively to reports of catapults and other anti-social behaviour in the Canterbury District

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.kent.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.
